The choice to build a sturdy wooden door can be the ideal realization for a door of a house by the sea, in the mountains or in the countryside.
In order to be really resistant it is necessary to use pine wood, which has certain characteristics such as strength, solidity and durability.

- 2 pine strips (frame uprights)
- 2 pine strips (frame crosspieces)
- 3 pine strips for interlocking gratings (internal grid)
- 9 pine strips for interlocking gratings (internal grid)
- 1 pine multilayer panel (back panel)
- 7 pine beads (front cover)
- 2 pine strips (batted uprights)
- 1 pine strip (batten crossbar)
- 1 pine strip (plinth)
- Beech pins
- Nails
- Vinyl glue
- 4 wooden triangles
- Drill with bits for wood
Method:
The first thing to do to build a door is to make the skeleton: the door frame. How to proceed? Join the slats in the form of a rectangle, assemble them together, drill them with a drill and attach them beech spines. For greater safety, fix everything with vinyl glue.
Reinforcing the corners of the frame with four wooden triangles to be applied with glue on the inside of the frame perimeter, is another way to have a sturdy door.
Now it’s time to combine the strips for grilling. Lay the three longer strips of the grid in parallel and apply some glue. Assemble the three short strips by inserting them crosswise with the longer ones. Secure everything inside the frame with glue.
On a grid face, glue the multi-layer panel, spreading the glue on both the grid and the frame. Apply the pine beads over the frame, respectively on the opposite side of the multilayer panel, using nails.
Apply a frame on the edge of the eternal surface of the door (where the pine beads have been applied). The latter is called a stop frame because it has the task of stopping the closing of the door. To apply it it’s necessary to use the strips. The longer ones must have the function of side uprights while the shorter one as the upper crosspiece.
In the lower part of the front of the door, between the two mounted on the stop frame, apply the thicker strip (as a plinth).
